Vizhinjam International Seaport, operational since July 2024 and commercially launched in December, has handled 7.33 lakh TEUs in less than a year. With a monthly average of 1 lakh containers and 50 vessels, it has led cargo handling in southern and eastern India for four straight months, marking a strong entry into global maritime trade.
