Pidge, among India’s unified logistics platforms, has joined the ONDC Network to accelerate e-commerce growth in hyperlocal and same-city deliveries across India. By leveraging Pidge’s extensive network of 200+ regional and national partners, this initiative aims to unlock deeper supply penetration and support the vision of increasing e-commerce penetration beyond the current 5% in India.
Pidge’s AI-powered technology streamlines last-mile logistics with 100% end-to-end fulfillment across diverse industries in line with ONDC Network’s vision of digitizing the entire e-commerce value chain. Its unique offering, Pidge Powered Network (PPN), empowers local suppliers with advanced technology, enabling them to be at par with larger delivery companies through a combination of riders. PPN’s regional presence in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities will further ensure accelerated tech adoption, especially in areas with limited or no accessibility.
“We are thrilled to integrate with the ONDC Network, which will help take India to new heights by expanding e-commerce reach to a broader customer base looking for efficient deliveries,” says Ratnesh Verma, Founder and CEO at Pidge. He further added, “ONDC Network aims to ensure inclusivity for sellers, especially SMEs, among other objectives that are well-aligned with our offerings at Pidge.”
T. Koshy, MD & CEO, ONDC, said, “Pidge’s technology-driven approach aligns perfectly with our goal of empowering all kinds of sellers by providing them with the tools and infrastructure necessary to have a level playing field in the existing e-commerce ecosystem. With Pidge onboarding onto the Open Network, the small and micro businesses across the country can leverage Pidge’s advanced logistics capabilities and extensive partner network to expand their reach into newer markets.”
In alignment with ONDC Network’s goal of market democratization and a decentralized process, Pidge’s intelligent logistics solutions optimize delivery routes and track orders in real-time through shared rider pools. This results in faster deliveries and wider coverage.
Sellers will now have an opportunity to utilize Pidge’s platform to expand their e-commerce reach through the ONDC Network. By facilitating end-to-end on-network transactions, this approach promotes a sustainable business model. Additionally, it empowers small businesses by enhancing reliability, accessibility, and ease of use across India’s diverse value chain.
