Google has made its most advanced artificial intelligence (AI) model, the experimental version of Gemini 2.5 Pro free for some users.
It was earlier available to Gemini Advanced subscribers, who were paying for access to these services. However, the free usage came with strict usage limits.
“Gemini 2.5 Pro is taking off. The team is sprinting, TPUs are running hot, and we want to get our most intelligent model into more people’s hands asap. Which is why we decided to roll out Gemini 2.5 Pro (experimental) to all Gemini users, beginning today”, the company announced in a post on X.
This model is considered the most intelligent model from Gemini stable. It is the first in the Gemini 2.5 lineup to feature “thinking” capabilities, designed to enhance reasoning, logical analysis, and decision-making.
Google explained that these improvements enable the AI to analyse complex information, apply contextual understanding, and generate more accurate responses, the search giant said in a blog post.
One of the key features of Gemini 2.5 is its multimodal capabilities, meaning it can process different types of data seamlessly. The 2.5 Pro version also supports an extended context window of 1 million tokens, with an upcoming expansion to 2 million tokens. This enables the model for improved comprehension and more sophisticated interactions.
