Pune, 21 June 2026

India’s coffee exports recorded strong growth in the first half of 2026, supported by rising global demand and robust shipments of Robusta varieties. According to the Coffee Board’s Daily Coffee Market Report, total provisional coffee exports between January 1 and June 18, 2026, reached 241,572 metric tonnes, marking a 26.4% increase from 191,176 metric tonnes during the corresponding period last year.

The growth was largely driven by Robusta Cherry exports, which surged to 103,983 metric tonnes from 75,650 metric tonnes a year earlier. Arabica exports also posted gains, with Arabica Parchment exports rising to 31,982 metric tonnes and Arabica Cherry exports increasing to 9,198 metric tonnes.

Instant coffee continued to be a key contributor to export performance, with total shipments reaching 81,779 metric tonnes, including re-exports. This compares with 66,237 metric tonnes during the same period in 2025.

In global markets, coffee prices remained mixed. ICE July Arabica futures settled at 275.10 US cents per pound, while ICE July Robusta futures closed at $3,685 per tonne. Market analysts noted that a stronger US dollar weighed on Arabica prices, although Robusta futures managed to edge higher.

Domestic coffee prices in Karnataka also remained firm. Arabica Parchment traded between ₹22,800 and ₹23,300 per 50 kg, while Robusta Parchment was quoted between ₹17,700 and ₹18,300 per 50 kg.

The latest export figures highlight India’s growing position in the global coffee market, particularly in the Robusta segment, as exporters benefit from steady international demand and competitive pricing.
