Persistent Systems has appointed Vinit Teredesai as the CFO effectively immediately, the company said in a filing. Teredesai will replace Sunil Sapre, who is set to retire from Persistent Systems later this year.
Teredesai worked as the CFO of LTIMindtree in his previous stint from which he resigned in March this year. He had also worked with Mindtree and KPIT Technologies in his previous stints.
Next govt should embrace compassionate capitalism: Murthy
The IT sector veteran and Founder of Infosys, Narayana Murthy told the Economic Times that the new regime in New Delhi should embrace compassionate capitalism.
The doyen of the Indian IT industry was of the opinion that entrepreneurs should be encouraged as they convert ideas into jobs, leading to wealth creation for the society as a whole. He also said that no nation has eradicated poverty without encouraging entrepreneurs. India is currently holding the general elections and will see the next government taking over next month.
Microsoft asks over 700 employees to relocate from China
Microsoft has asked around 700 employees in China to be ready for relocation as tensions between the US and China simmer, a report in the Wall Street Journal said.
These staffers are working in the cloud computing and AI divisions in China, the report added.
