Bloomberg announced that Evans and Partners Wealth Management (Evans and Partners), part of E&P Financial Group, has selected Bloomberg Buy-side Solutions to support its growing Active Bond Managed Discretionary Account (MDA) business. MDAs are professionally managed investment accounts that allow a portfolio manager to actively manage investments on a client’s behalf within an agreed mandate.
Evans and Partners will implement Bloomberg AIM as its order and investment management system, alongside AIM Compliance and Bloomberg’s Post-Trade Solutions, to better support portfolio construction, compliance, order management, execution and post-trade processing for its Active Bond MDA portfolios. The suite of integrated buy-side solutions will help the firm scale its fixed income MDA offering, maintain an integrated IBOR and provide its advisers and clients with efficient access to professionally managed bond portfolios across Australia’s institutional over-the-counter bond markets.
“Evans and Partners is focused on delivering sophisticated, income-focused investment solutions to private clients through a scalable and robust operating model,” said James O’Hare, Head of Fixed Income at Evans and Partners. “Bloomberg gives us the institutional-grade technology needed to support the growth of our Active Bond MDA workflow and their suite of front-to-back solutions for the buyside will help us improve operational efficiency, strengthen oversight and continue to enhance the fixed income solutions we provide to advisers and clients.”
“We are seeing continued growth in Australia’s managed account market, driven by demand for sophisticated income-focused investment strategies and more efficient adviser workflows,” said Ben Pool, Head of Australia & New Zealand, Bloomberg. “We are pleased to support Evans and Partners as it expands its fixed income MDA business with an integrated investment workflow that helps manage multiple mandates more efficiently, streamline portfolio rebalancing, strengthen compliance and risk oversight, and connect execution with post-trade processing.”
Evans and Partners services approximately 7,400 clients and oversees around A$35 billion in funds under advice. The firm provides comprehensive investment advisory, portfolio management and financial planning services to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, not-for-profits and private clients.
