Salesforce has managed to win over 1,000 paid deals for its new platform dubbed “Agentforce,” which will help generate virtual representatives fueled by AI. The same was said by the firm’s chief executive officer, Marc Benioff, during a conference held in San Francisco.

At the event, Salesforce was showcasing new features that allow businesses to build bots for things like recruiting, customer service, and more. These bots can be used on the Salesforce platform as well as in Slack, Salesforce’s messaging app.

Benioff mentioned the benefits the company has drawn on by using AI even for its own operations.

Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, many companies have been experimenting with AI, but most have not yet seen big savings or earnings from it. For Benioff, AI and “digital labor” are key to helping humans do their jobs more efficiently, which could lead to economic growth.

Looking forward, Salesforce hopes to launch a “robot force partner programme,” by linking virtual assistants with a real-world robot. Here’s an example given with hotels: digital assistants managing office work while robots clean hotel rooms.

In his speech, Benioff also mentioned that he expects the US government, particularly President-elect Donald Trump’s administration, will discuss the future of digital labor with business leaders.
