Shares of Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL) remain in focus of investors after the company raised prices of certain grades of coking coal, which is a key ingredient in making steel.
The price gain was triggered by the increase in the basic prices of certain grades of raw coking coal supplied to the unregulated segment.
According to the company’s stock exchange filing, prices of all the different grades of raw coking coal have been increased by a range of 0.1% to 14%. The move was meant to correct disparities in prices of the various grades of coal.
Steel Grades I and II, Direct Feed coal, PCC Washery Grades W-II to W-VI and HVMC Washery Grades W-I to W-VI have had their prices revised.
Increased Coal Production by BCCL in September

There was a significant rise in production of coking coal. This production increased to 21.5% and reached 2.49 MT in September 2026 from 2.05 MT in September 2025.
However, there was a slight decrease in non-coking coal production in the year on year basis at 0.07 MT during the month under review.
BCCL Agrees with SAIL for Increasing Domestic Coking Coal Production
