The equity indices witnessed an uptrend in the US on Tuesday as reports indicate possible cessation of conflict in the Middle East region.
According to AFP reports, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday signalled that Iran had the “necessary will” to bring the ongoing war with Israel and the US to a close but stressed on firm guarantees that hostilities would not be repeated. Reports also indicated that President Donald Trump could end the war even if the Strait of Hormuz remained closed. These reports eased some concerns over the escalating tensions gripping the region though situation remained highly volatile.
Nasdaq was trading 3.5% up at 21,527.60 at 2.37 PM (GMT), while DOW was more than 1,000 points up at 46,268 on Tuesday.
