IT services major, Wipro on Monday said it has secured a multi-year large deal from Singapore-based food & agri-business conglomerate, Olam worth around $1 billion.
The eight-year engagement with Olam Group is expected to exceed $1 billion in contract value, with a committed spend of $800 million, the company said in an exchange filing.
Olam is a $50 billion plus food and agribusiness conglomerate headquartered in Singapore, which employs nearly 40,000 people. The company is majority-owned by Temasek Holdings.
As part of the mega outsourcing deal, Wipro will acquire Olam’s IT Services arm- Mindsprint for $350 million, the exchange filing said. The acquisition is likely to be completed by June 30, 2026.
Under the multi-year mega outsourcing deal, Wipro will partner in an end-to-end transformation through a consulting-led and AI-powered approach.
Wipro will deploy its capabilities across Olam Group’s ‘farm-to-fork’ value chain, delivering industry-specific solutions that align with the Group’s business priorities. This will focus on areas such as farming, forecasting, trading, supply chain operations, and customer engagement among others.
