After two consecutive quarters of employee addition, India’s largest IT services firm- Tata Consultancy Services‘ headcount dropped in the third quarter ended December 2024.
The company, which announced its Q3FY25 results on Thursday, saw its headcount falling by 5,370 to 607,354. The Tata Group firm’s attrition also increased to 13% in December quarter as compared to 12.3% reported in the previous quarter.
“We continue to invest in employee upskilling and overall well-being. Our campus hiring for the year is going according to plan and preparations are afoot to onboard a higher number of campus hires next year,” said Milind Lakkad, Chief HR Officer at TCS.
In the third quarter ended December, TCS posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 12,380 crore, a rise of 12% over the same period last year. Its consolidated revenue from operations rose 6% to Rs 63,973 crore in Q3FY25 from Rs 60,583 crore reported a year ago.
