Raymond stock appreciated by 1.7% on Wednesday, September 23, to hit an intraday high of ₹1,137 per share. This increase followed news that the company has expanded its business in the aerospace industry.
The subsidiary of Raymond, JK Maini Global Aerospace, has been awarded a contract from an Indian aerospace and defense company. In the project, the company will manufacture wing and centre fuselage structures for a large Indian fighter jet program.

Raymond Group CFO Rakesh Tiwary stated that the significance of the project for the company could be more than its commercial value. He further added that this project will enable Raymond to build expertise in aircraft structures, which may help its subsidiaries take part in large-scale aerospace programs within India and other nations.
It was also mentioned that the project will leverage the infrastructure of the customer. It implies that Raymond will be able to develop its capabilities in aerospace without making significant investments. Raymond intends to capitalize on this initiative to create a sustainable business.
Currently, Raymond has two divisions in the engineering sector: Aerospace & Defence & Tools, and Auto Components. The engineering division has been expanding its operations in the rapidly developing aerospace and defence markets.
