Nykaa and DMart show strong growth; stocks in focus

Shares of Nykaa and DMart are in focus since both the firms provided information about their business results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.

Nykaa operates FSN E-Commerce Ventures, whereas DMart is operated by Avenue Supermarts.

Nykaa Business Report

Nykaa witnessed continued success during the second quarter of FY27. The firm estimates that its Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) will experience a growth rate near to the 30% range.

GMV refers to the total worth of the goods sold on an online marketplace before deducting any discount, return, cancellation, tax, or any other adjustment.

Nykaa expects that the Net Sales Value (NSV) will witness an early 30% growth range. The net revenue of the firm is expected to experience a growth rate in the late 20% range.

Both major divisions of Nykaa – Beauty and Fashion continued to perform well.

The Beauty division is expected to achieve NSV and net revenue growth in the late 20% range. The Nykaa also attracted new customers and encouraged existing customers to purchase once again.

The firm opened fourteen stores in the quarter and increased its store count to 338 as of September 30, 2026.

The sales of existing stores rose by 20 percent in the early twenties. It marks the highest sales in the last six quarters.

Nykaa Fashion Business

Nykaa’s Fashion business has also grown substantially. NSV growth is estimated to be in the late 40% range, while net revenue growth is estimated to be in the early 40% range.

More than 250 brands were added in the quarter. Customer additions have been robust as well.

The firm’s association with Nike continued to elicit a positive response, especially with exclusive product launches.

It was stated that the sales related to some festive season would shift from the second quarter to the third quarter since the festive season will come at a later stage this year.

DMart Business Report

Avenue Supermarts, which runs DMart stores, has made good business growth in terms of revenue.

Its revenue from operation of its standalone business jumped up to 18.4% to ₹19,206 crore in Q2 FY27. Revenue of the company in the same period last year stood at approximately ₹16,219 crore.

On a comparison basis, the revenue of the company rose to 4.7% from the previous quarter.

DMart has 518 stores till September 30, 2026. It has one store in Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, which is closed at present as it is under reconstruction process.

DMart is backed by the Radhakishan Damani family. It offers groceries and household/personal use goods in various Indian states.

Thus, Nykaa and DMart have shown good business growth in the quarter.
