N Space Tech, a defence and aerospace startup has successfully launched its first payload, in the SwetchaSAT-Vx series aboard ISRO’s PSLV Orbital Experimental Module (POEM-4). This platform repurposes the spent fourth stage of the PSLV rocket into a stable orbital environment for experimental payloads from the SHAR centre at Sriharikota. This launch was a part of ISRO’s SPADEX Mission.

A milestone has been achieved in N Space Tech’s journey as the payload SwetchaSAT-V0, onboard the PSLV Orbital Experimental Module (POEM-4) platform, has successfully transmitted data, which the team has reliably received.

The startup has sent its maiden payload, SwetchaSAT-V0, to test an indigenously developed ultra-high frequency (UHF) communication, paving the way for faster, more reliable communication for various applications. The communication, power, computing, and sensor modules of the SwetchaSAT payload were designed and developed indigenously at N Space Tech, reflecting the company’s commitment to advancing homegrown space technology.

“SwetchaSAT, an ultra-high-frequency communication technology demonstrated by N Space Tech, on the POEM-4 platform of PSLV C60, paves the way for faster and more reliable communication for many satellite applications. It is also noted that the entire hardware was designed and manufactured by this young startup as part of the Make in India initiative. Such efforts by entrepreneurs would help India become a competitive satellite manufacturing base for the global economy.” said Sudheer Kumar N, Former Director CBPO, ISRO.

“The success of SwetchaSAT- V0 marks a critical step forward in our mission to develop and deploy advanced communication technologies. This payload symbolizes months of relentless effort, innovation, and teamwork. Building on this achievement, we are now setting our sights on future missions to demonstrate our capabilities up to the Ku-band. ” said Divya Kothamasu, Founder, N Space Tech.

This remarkable achievement showcases our capability in ultra-high-frequency (UHF) communication with precision and reliability, cementing our position as a leader in space technology. It also represents a significant step in our endeavor to advance satellite communication technology.

N Space Tech, founded in 2020 by Divya Kothamasu and Raghuram Kothamasu, is a defence and aerospace startup specializing in satellite communication systems and space solutions. With a strong emphasis on indigenous development and engineering, the company has emerged as a key contributor to India’s private space sector. N Space Tech continues to drive innovation while strengthening India’s position in the global defence and aerospace industry.
