Maruti Suzuki, leading automobile maker of India, posted a record sales in December 2024, allaying fears about deepening slowdown in urban consumption.
The automobile giant reported 30% rise in sales, reaching a total sale of 178,248 units in December, 2024. Total domestic sales rose 27.3% to 1.41 lakh units, compared to 1.10 lakh units a year ago. Total domestic passenger vehicle (PV) sales rose 24.2% to 1.30 lakh units from 1.05 lakh units year-on-year basis. T
According to the company, total exports rose 39.2% to 37,419 units from 26,884 units a year earlier. Similarly, Mahindra & Mahindra reported a growth of 18% YoY by selling 41,424 vehicles during the month as compared to 35,174 units in December 2023.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s domestic sales grew by 16.44% YoY to 24,887 units in December as against 21,372 units in the corresponding month previous year.
JSW MG Motor India saw a YoY growth of 55% in December 2024 wholesales by selling 7,516 units as compared with 4,848 units in December 2023.
Meanwhile, Tata Motors reported a growth of 2% YoY at 44,230 during last month as compared with 43,470 units in December 2023.
