Facebook Marketplace is marking its 10th anniversary with the launch of a new standalone app called Seller, built specifically for people who sell on the platform, offering dedicated tools like AI-powered listing creation, a unified inbox, inventory management, and performance insights, all in one place.
Now available on the App Store for US users 18 and older, Seller is purpose-built for the people who sell on Marketplace the most, giving them one place to run and grow their selling business.
What started as people buying and selling in Facebook Groups has grown into a destination where 430 million items are listed each month globally, and for many has turned into a side hustle, a small business, real income. With the platform now a decade old, those sellers get their own app. Seller is a dedicated space to manage listings, reach buyers, and grow a business — available now on the App Store for people 18+ in the United States.
How It Works
Seller syncs with Facebook Marketplace — existing listings, messages, and selling history carry over, and anything created in the app automatically appears on Marketplace, where buyers already shop. Sellers can still sell on Marketplace directly from Facebook, but for those looking for a dedicated space to manage and grow their business, Seller offers a focused alternative.
What’s Included
- Seller home: A dedicated home screen that surfaces what needs attention — items to ship, buyers to respond to, listings to reprice — alongside a snapshot of sales performance.
- Listing creation: Upload photos and Meta AI fills in the details like title, description, price suggestion, and category for faster publishing. A bulk listing feature allows sellers to create multiple listings at once.
- Listing management: View, edit, relist, and manage full inventory from a single place.
- Unified seller inbox: All buyer messages organized in one place, threaded by item, so sellers can see every conversation tied to a specific listing.
- Performance insights: Data like views, clicks, message threads, and sold listings to help sellers price competitively and make smarter inventory decisions.
Seller is available now on the App Store, with a web experience for sellers who download the app on iOS and Android currently being tested. The company says this is just the start, and the app will continue to evolve based on feedback from the seller community.
