The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Odisha State Council has announced that Sunil Gupta, Chief Operating Officer- Aluminum Buisness, Vedanta Ltd,
Jharsuguda has taken office as the Chairman for the year 2025-26.
The industry association said in a press release that Suresha G, Executive Director—Odisha Assets Operation, AM/NS India, has been elected as the Vice Chairman.
“CII aims to catalyse inclusive economic progress across the State by expanding CII operations, particularly in Western Odisha, and partnering closely with the
Government of Odisha on departments such as Industries, MSME, Agriculture, Environment, Tourism, and Skill Development,” Sunil Gupta, the new Chairman of CII-Odisha State Council said.
CII will also focus on strengthening Odisha’s industrial ecosystem by promoting Green Building Certification, enhancing export potential, and improving infrastructure through green projects. Key initiatives such as the MSME Connect Series will link small enterprises with large industries and PSUs, ensuring inclusive and sustained industrial development.
“We will support job creation and productivity by providing training on GST, GEM, TQM, and export documentation, while also collaborating with the Skill Development & Technical Education Department to upskill the youth of Odisha,” Suresha G, the new Vice Chairman of CII-Odisha State Council said.
