Accenture on Thursday raised its annual revenue growth guidance for FY25 on the back of increasing demand for AI-powered services. The company, which follows September-August financial year cycle, posted its second quarter earnings on Thursday.

The company now expects its annual revenue to grow between 5-7% as compared with its prior forecast of 4-7%. It expects its operating margin to be in the range of 15.6-15.7% during the current financial year.

The company posted a revenue of $16.7 billion, an increase of 5% in US dollars during the second quarter. Its consulting revenue stood at $8.28 billion, an increase of 3% over the same period last year. Its managed services revenue- the segment in which Indian IT firms operate- saw a robust 8% growth at $8.38 billion during the second quarter.

The company’s new booking during the February quarter stood at $20.9 billion. While consulting new bookings were at $10.47 billion, managed services new
bookings stood at $10.44 billion.

“Our second quarter results demonstrate that we continue to deliver on our strategy to lead reinvention for our clients and return to strong growth in FY25, with broad-based growth across markets, industries, and the types of work our clients seek from us. The trust and confidence in our unique strengths and capabilities
is reflected in 32 clients with quarterly bookings greater than $100 million and we are very pleased to have another milestone quarter in Gen AI with $1.4 billion in new bookings. Our continued growth is made possible by the extraordinary work of our more than 800,000 people around the world who focus on
delivering value to our clients every day,” CEO of Accenture, Julie Sweet said in the earnings release.

Its revenue from US stood at $8.55 billion, an increase of 9% in US dollar term YoY; while revenue from EMEA was at $5.80 billion, an increase of 4% year-on-year basis.

Accenture’s revenue from products was at $5.05 billion, up 6% over the same period last year, while turnover from health vertical stood at $3.61 billion, an increase of 8% over the previous year.

The IT firm reported an increase in headcount by 2,000 employees to 801,000 in Q2FY25. In the previous quarter, the company had added about 24,000 employees.
