Apple is developing a major upgrade for its software, due to be rolled out later this year. The update will give iPhones, iPads, and Macs a brand new look in terms of their operating systems and interfaces, says a Bloomberg News report.

The refresh, which is drawn from Apple’s Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, will bring new icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons. The redesign is intended to make Apple devices look more contemporary and unified.

This decision follows closely on Apple’s recent unveilings of the iPad Air and MacBook Air in new versions, both of which feature artificial intelligence capabilities to make the devices even more appealing. These updates are among the attempts by Apple to improve user experience and increase power and usability of the devices.

Simplifying the ways users interact and control their devices is one of the top objectives of this update. This will help make it simpler for individuals to use their Apple devices, regardless if it is an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. According to the report from Bloomberg, Apple would like to make the user interface simpler, which would enhance the overall experience.

Apple hasn’t returned messages for comments on the software update coming later this year. Yet, more will be discussed when the company shows off details of the change at its Worldwide Developers Conference later this month in June. The event is when Apple will undoubtedly reveal the updated design and features with the update to the software.

Along with the visual updates, Apple also wants to make its operating systems more uniform across devices. The new software revamp will assist in bringing the look and feel of iOS (iPhone), iPadOS (iPad), and macOS (Mac) together. This uniformity will simplify the transition between Apple devices, as the experience will be the same on all devices.

In short, Apple is preparing a major software update that will update the look of its devices, streamline navigation, and make the experience more uniform across its various operating systems. Apple will provide more details about the update at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
