Urban Company and Unicommerce are moving to collaborate further in Saudi Arabia and UAE. The announcement has sent the stocks of both companies up on Thursday, August 20.
The Middle Eastern unit of Urban Company has formed a collaboration with Unicommerce that would be responsible for managing Urban’s online businesses in the region. Urban Company would utilize Unicommerce’s Uniware software to help manage inventory, order fulfillment, and delivery of product kits and other products required by its professionals.
Uniware would give accurate data of stock levels as well as help Urban Company in shipping products to correct locations as quickly as possible, as well as in restocking products and deliveries. This collaboration is expected to facilitate smoother business processes for Urban Company in the Middle East as it expands its operations in the region.
This collaboration between Urban and Unicommerce follows an already existing collaboration between the two companies in India.
Unicommerce chief executive officer Kapil Makhija stated that companies venturing into new geographies require technology solutions that scale along with them and simplify their processes. According to him, Unicommerce would enable Urban Company to streamline its back end operations and concentrate on offering better customer experience.
Urban Company’s Senior Vice President for the Middle East, Nitesh Agarwal stated that the Middle East represented an important growth geography for Urban Company. According to him, the platform offered by Unicommerce had already been instrumental for Urban Company in India and would be helpful in building a robust and scalable supply chain infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and UAE.

Unicommerce Esolutions:
Unicommerce stock increased up to 4.2% to ₹90.49 on the NSE. At 11:05 AM, the stock price was at ₹89.18, rising 2.71%. The stock had declined over 2% in the past week but increased 3% in one month. On a year-to-date basis, the stock was 25% down. The 52-week high for the stock was ₹155.80, while the 52-week low was ₹78.51.
Urban Company:
Urban Company stock rose by 1.9% to ₹150.70. When the report was released, the price stood at ₹148.71, registering a 0.60% gain. In one week, the stock had risen by 5%, and in one month, there was an increase of 11%. The 52-week high for Urban Company was ₹201.18, whereas the 52-week low was ₹100.70.
In general, the alliance will help Urban Company to expand into the Middle East while Unicommerce can leverage international expansion.
