NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, shall be developing a 250 MW Solar Power Project integrated with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on vacant defence land at Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.
The project has been approved by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and is the first of its kind large-scale solar power project with BESS to strengthen energy security of defence establishments.
The power generated from the project shall be utilised by various defence establishments across Uttar Pradesh.
