Infosys announced a new partnership with Cursor, an AI-powered development platform, to improve its software engineering abilities. This collaboration will help businesses use artificial intelligence (AI) more effectively as they adopt it on a large scale.
The two companies will establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) focused on using AI-powered software engineering tools to create and update AI-based products. Through this partnership, Infosys engineers will access Cursor’s AI-assisted tools for both new and existing business systems.
Infosys also revealed that it would connect Cursor’s platform with its own Topaz Fabric, a suite of services that combines infrastructure, data, models, and workflows. This integration is expected to help companies modernize their core systems more quickly and enhance the efficiency of development processes.
Cursor’s platform is already used by 64% of Fortune 1000 companies. It includes features like multi-agent development, automated test creation, and faster code updates (refactoring).
Michael Truell, CEO and co-founder of Cursor, stated that Infosys, with its large scale and strong delivery abilities, is the right partner to show the power of AI-driven software engineering in real-world business situations.
Infosys CEO Salil Parekh mentioned that the partnership aims to help companies create AI-powered digital solutions that can quickly scale and lead to measurable business outcomes.
