Staterun miner, NMDC produced 3.75 million tonnes (MT) of iron ore in September this year, which was 23% higher than the same period last year.
India’s largest iron ore producer’s output from Chhattisgarh stood at 2.49 mt versus 1.89 mt last year, while Karnataka mines contributed 1.26 mt compared with 1.15 mt.
Slaes figure of NMDC also remained robust as it sold 3.88 million tonne of ore in September 2025, an increase of 10% over the past year. Out of the total sales, Chhattisgarh accounted for 2.58 mt against 2.32 mt, and Karnataka delivered 1.30 mt compared with 1.22 mt in the same month last year.
For the half year (April-September), NMDC achieved a total production of 22.20 million tonne and sales of 22.25 million tonne. These figures mark a robust growth of 27% in production and 12% in sales over the corresponding period last year.
