Pune, 24 August 2025

Samsung Electronics announced the global debut of its all-new large-screen Odyssey G7 monitors at Gamescom 2025, the world’s largest gaming event held in Cologne, Germany from Aug. 20th to Aug. 24th. Alongside the new G7 models, Samsung is showcasing its glasses-free Odyssey 3D gaming ecosystem and new partnerships with major game publishers and developers.

“We are thrilled to unveil our latest products and gaming partnerships at a world-leading event like Gamescom,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President and Head of Enterprise Business Team of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Our collaborations will deliver authentic gameplay through optimized 3D effects. We will continue to lead the premium gaming monitor market by enhancing hardware performance and deepening game partnerships.”

Samsung remains a global leader in monitors, ranking as the world’s No.1 gaming monitor brand for six consecutive years. In Q1 2025, Samsung led with an 18.9% global market share and 24.6% in Europe, according to IDC.

Inside the New Odyssey G7 Lineup

The new Odyssey G7 (G75F model) comes in two sizes: a 37” 4K UHD (3,840×2,160) with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and Samsung’s first 40” Wide UHD (WUHD) with 5K2K (5,120×2,160) resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio, expanding options beyond existing 32- and 43-inch monitors.

  • It supports Picture-by-Picture (PBP) and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) for multitasking and features VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification and 350 nits brightness for vivid color reproduction. Key features include:
  • HDR10+ Gaming for optimized HDR
  • AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro for smooth visuals
  • CoreSync for ambient backlight sync
  • Auto Source Switch+ for input detection
  • Connectivity with DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 ports

Ergonomic design with Height Adjustment Stand, tilt, and swivel

Gamescom attendees can experience the Odyssey G7 by playing “Genshin Impact” at the Samsung booth in Hall 9. The monitor is available now in Korea and the U.S., with European availability in September.

Bringing 3D Worlds to Life

Samsung is expanding its 3D gaming ecosystem with new partnerships for the Odyssey 3D monitor (G90XF model), offering glasses-free 3D gameplay. At Gamescom 2025, Samsung announced collaborations with Netmarble and SHIFT UP, showcasing “MONGIL: STAR DIVE” and “Stellar Blade” in 3D for the first time.

From Aug. 22 to Aug. 23, Samsung will host The World of #PlayGalaxy event at Dock2 in Cologne, offering immersive gameplay across devices like Galaxy Z Fold7 and Odyssey 3D.

Odyssey 3D enhances gameplay with adjustable focal distance and customizable depth, creating 3D effects without glasses. The Odyssey 3D Hub supports over 25 3D games, including “The First Berserker: Khazan,” and will feature more than 50 titles by year-end, including “Lies of P: Overture” and “MONGIL: STAR DIVE.”

Odyssey OLED at Gamescom

Samsung is also showcasing its Odyssey OLED monitors through collaborations with Blizzard and Pearl Abyss. The World of Warcraft booth features 80 stations with the 500Hz Odyssey OLED G6, while Pearl Abyss is displaying “Crimson Desert” on 180 units of Odyssey OLED G6 and G8 (4K, 240Hz). These setups highlight the OLED lineup’s picture quality for premium gaming experiences.
