Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has signed a long-term supply agreement with Samsung C&T Corporation for supplying green ammonia, the company said.
The deal spans over a 15-year period and will kickstart in the second half of FY29, the company added. Notably, this is one of the biggest deals in green fuel space.
Under the agreement, RIL will supply green ammonia produced through an integrated clean-energy ecosystem being developed in India. The initiative aligns with the government’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, which is focussed on building domestic capacity in green hydrogen and its derivatives.
Executive Director of RIL, Anant Ambani said the green ammonia supplied would be “cost-competitive and reliable” and called the partnership “an important step in India’s clean-energy journey”.
Reliance’s share price ended 0.96% higher at Rs 1,394 per share on Monday in NSE.
