Shares of hotels, restaurants, and quick service restaurant (QSR) chains will be in focus on Wednesday, April 1, as the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder rises, effective from today. According to news reports, the price of a 19 kg cylinder has increased by ₹195.50 in Delhi and by ₹218 in Kolkata, as global oil prices surge due to the widening West Asia conflict. This marks the second price hike for commercial LPG gas within a month, affecting industries that rely on it, such as hotels and restaurants. As a result, stocks of companies like Jubilant FoodWorks, Westlife Foodworld, and Indian Hotels Company may face pressure if LPG costs continue to rise.
