CSM Technologies Limited, a leading GovTech company delivering Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) solutions across emerging economies, said in an exchange filing that it has secured a prestigious international assignment from the Public Private Partnership Commission (PPPC) of Malawi through CSM Tech Limited, its wholly owned subsidiary in Kenya. The project envisages design, development and commissioning of an Electronic Auctioning Platform (EAP) under the Digital Malawi Acceleration Project (DMAP).

Funded by the World Bank through the International Development Association (IDA), the assignment valued at ₹ 32.08 million marks another significant milestone in CSM Technologies’ growing global presence and reinforces India’s expanding role in enabling DPI across developing nations.

The EAP will introduce a secure, transparent and fully auditable digital mechanism for conducting competitive auctions, replacing manual and paper-based processes with an automated workflow. The platform will enable online bid submission, real-time evaluation, bidder anonymity, automated ranking and electronic publication of results, thereby enhancing transparency, efficiency and accountability in public procurement.

The 12-month long assignment forms part of the Digital Malawi Acceleration Project, a six-year initiative under the World Bank-supported Inclusive Digitalization in Eastern and Southern Africa (IDEA) programme. The project seeks to expand digital connectivity across Malawi by facilitating transparent procurement of broadband services and targets benefits for over 75 lakh broadband users in the country. The project will also connect 2,500 public institutions, including 2,000 schools and 500 government offices. The projects also aims 50 lakhs successful digital authentications for service delivery, and reducing retail data prices as percentage of GNI per capita – from 9.4% to 4%.

As part of the engagement, CSM Tech Limited will undertake the complete lifecycle of the project, including business requirements assessment, platform architecture and development, system integration, cybersecurity hardening, penetration testing, pilot implementation, production rollout, user training, knowledge transfer and postdeployment warranty support.

Commenting on the development, Priyadarshi Pany, Chairman, Managing Director &
CEO, CSM Technologies Limited, said: “This engagement reflects the growing global confidence in India’s DPI capabilities. We are honoured to partner with the Government of Malawi and the World Bank in building a transparent, technology-driven auctioning ecosystem that strengthens governance and accelerates digital inclusion. At CSM Technologies, we believe trusted digital platforms are instrumental in creating more accountable institutions and inclusive economies. This project further strengthens our commitment to delivering mission-critical GovTech solutions that create measurable public value across the world.”

The latest engagement further consolidates CSM Technologies’ expertise in designing and implementing mission-critical digital platforms for governments spanning public administration, mining, agriculture, healthcare, citizen services, digital commerce, taxation, public finance and infrastructure governance.

With successful implementations across India, Africa, the Middle East and North America, CSM Technologies continues to support governments in adopting secure, scalable and citizen-centric digital ecosystems aligned with global best practices.
