OpenAI’s chatbot, ChatGPT, is currently not working for many users. People are having trouble using the tool and getting answers to their questions. Thousands of users have reported problems with the chatbot yesterday.
The firm, OpenAI, indicated they are aware of the problem. They also indicated that not only ChatGPT but also their AI image application called Sora is impacted. Users are getting messages such as “Something went wrong” or being stuck on the “searching for web” page. This indicates the application is attempting to search but is not producing any results.
A website called Downdetector, which tracks if websites and apps stop working, showed that more than 850 people had reported issues with OpenAI tools by 3:06 PM IST yesterday.
This type of problem is referred to as an “outage,” and it is when the service is not functioning as it should. If lots of people are accessing a website or app simultaneously, or there is something wrong with the system, it may break down or stop working for a certain period of time.
OpenAI has not explained precisely why this occurred. But they are attempting to repair it as fast as they can. In the meantime, users can keep experiencing errors or might not be able to utilize ChatGPT and Sora.
If you are experiencing this, you are not the only one. Several people across the globe are experiencing the same thing. The best action is to wait as OpenAI addresses the problem. You can also view OpenAI’s status page or sites such as Downdetector and view updates.
