Agora, a technology company focusing on real-time engagement products, has made an exciting new product announcement: Conversational AI SDK. The first purpose is to give developers the power to build engaging voice-driven experiences directly in their applications, directly integrated with OpenAI’s Realtime API for even smoother interaction with artificial intelligence.
Tony Zhao, Agora’s CEO and Co-Founder, says real-time conversational AI has the power to make a huge difference to users and businesses all around the world. With this new SDK, developers can easily add natural voice interaction to their applications by using Agora’s advanced capabilities for real-time audio streaming.
The Conversational AI SDK employs the fast network of Agora, responsible for handling 60 billion minutes of interactions each month across more than 200 countries. Such infrastructure enables voice conversations that are described as clear and human-like, powered by the forces of OpenAI. Within the SDK package lies features that allow it to eliminate or suppress echoing and background noise, which enables voice communication to be clear and effective in any environment.
Samuel Lim, CEO of Agora customer Grepp, explains how the integration of lifelike AI assistants into their platform will make for even more effective learning experiences and allow for highly customized skill analysis. This is just one key way in which the SDK can further educational and training possibilities.
This new technology can be used by developers for many applications including 24/7 customer support, healthcare services, language learning, and even gaming. The SDK makes developing AI voice agents that reflect a life-like response to users relatively easy.
Commenting on this Yun Zhang, CEO of Wyze-a smart home technology company and customer of Agora said: “Through this technology, they can add real-time voice interaction to their Internet of Things (IoT) products. It will be through Agora’s low latency network that they’ll be able to deliver an outstanding experience with AI-powered devices.”.
Tony Zhao concluded that the new partnership with Open AI would lead to some world-beating innovations in applications of AI that were yet to be imagined. Whether it is wellness coaching, customer support, or language tutoring, the new SDK would bring power to developers to make applications that are going to be useful in the different users’ daily lives.
