Tata Technologies has introduced the second edition of the ‘Tata Technologies InnoVent’ hackathon in partnership with Microsoft and Tata Motors.
This event aims to involve engineering students from across India, giving them a platform to demonstrate their creativity and solutions to challenges in the manufacturing sector. This year, the focus of the hackathon is on using Generative AI to innovate in product development, manufacturing processes, and enhancing customer experiences.
Tata Technologies, along with Microsoft and Tata Motors, is organizing a hackathon for 3rd and 4th year engineering students in India. The event aims to foster innovation among participants, especially encouraging entries from women engineers and differently-abled individuals. Top teams will receive support from Tata Technologies with tools and mentoring, access to Azure resources from Microsoft, and collaboration opportunities with Tata Motors to address real-world challenges.
Projects will be evaluated based on diversity, creativity, feasibility, and impact across three stages, with the top three teams winning cash prizes totaling Rs 4.5 lakh and internship opportunities at Tata Technologies.
“Tata Technologies InnoVent embodies our commitment to engineering a better world for our youth. Through our collaboration with Microsoft and Tata Motors, we aim to provide young innovators with a platform to develop novel solutions leveraging Generative AI and help them translate their ideas to life. The 1st edition of InnoVent was a success and we are already piloting a few innovations with our customers. I am excited to see the innovative projects that will come from this year’s hackathon,” said Warren Harris, MD and CEO of Tata Technologies.
