Kochi, 30 Oct 2026

The company Paras Defence and Space Technologies has witnessed robust profit and revenue growth in the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27. The firm has reported a significant growth in its net profit by 47% mainly driven by increased sales from its optics and optronic systems business segment.

As per the data furnished to the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the firm has witnessed an increase in its net profit by 47% from ₹20.64 crore to ₹30.30 crore for the quarter ending July to September.

The revenue from operations of the company also grew by approximately 43% to ₹151 crore against ₹106 crore in the previous year.

This robust growth in its profits and revenue can be attributed largely to the strong performance of its optics and optronic systems segment. The revenue from this business segment grew by more than 94% from ₹38.44 crore in the previous year to ₹74.65 crore in the current year.

The company’s defence engineering division also saw growth in revenue by 13.6% from ₹67.28 crore to ₹76.47 crore for the current year.

An increase in operating profit was noted as well. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) of the company soared almost 50 percent to ₹45 crore from ₹30 crore in the same period a year ago.

The operating profit margin for the company rose to 29.46 percent, compared to 28.08 percent in the year gone by. It indicates that the firm did well to generate more earnings amid elevated business expenses.

Yet, Paras Defence encountered problems caused by soaring costs of raw materials. During the quarter, the cost of raw materials rose by nearly 94 percent. Increased cost of metals, energy, and other materials affected expenses.

Nevertheless, Paras Defence managed to post robust profit gains.

Paras Defence share price jumped 3.6 percent on October 29 after the release of the quarterly results. The shares hit an intra-day high of ₹1,349.90. In the previous trading session, the stock ended at ₹1,302.60.

The shares were quoting close to ₹1,342 at around 2:46 pm, registering gains of about 3%.

Moreover, the shares of the company have made great gains in the year 2026. The stock is up by 96% from the start of the year and by 11.3% over the past five trading days.

In the last five years, shares of Paras Defence have made gains in excess of 189%.

On October 29, the market capitalisation of the company was estimated to be close to ₹10,718 crore.

To conclude, the latest quarterly performance reflects business success of Paras Defence with the help of increasing sales, improved operating profit and demand for defence technology products.
