Hexaware Technologies Ltd shares are in the spotlight today, i.e., Thursday, September 3, as the company has informed the market about the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer and Whole-time Director Srikrishna Ramakarthikeyan.
According to the company, Ramakarthikeyan will resign from his current position both at Hexaware Technologies and its wholly owned subsidiary, Hexaware Technologies Inc., as of October 28, 2026. However, he will stay with Hexaware as Senior Advisor as of October 28, 2026.
In his new position, Ramakarthikeyan will assist the company in its transition to the new management. On September 1, the board of Hexaware Technologies has appointed Vivek Jetley as its new CEO. He will assume office on October 28, 2026, and will hold this position for a term of four years.
Before joining Hexaware Technologies, Jetley was working for EXL as its President. He is responsible for EXL businesses in insurance, healthcare and life sciences industries.
This leadership change comes at an especially difficult time for Hexaware Technologies as its stock price has been under pressure recently. Thus, in 2026 so far the company’s shares have declined by around 28%, while the BSE Information Technology index has gone down by only about 19%.
Hexaware Technologies has recently downgraded its forecast of revenue growth rate in 2026. However, according to broker Motilal Oswal Financial Services, the company might be only delaying its growth instead of losing it forever.
According to the company’s projections, delayed transactions will start paying off, while its modernization initiatives and the demand in banking, health care and manufacturing industries will drive its growth later in 2026 and in 2027.
A number of brokers, including CLSA, Kotak Institutional Equities, and Axis Capital have maintained positive rating on Hexaware after its AI day.
Statement of outgoing CEO
As stated in his resignation letter, Mr. Ramakarthikeyan’s decision was made based on personal reasons. He says that his period with Hexaware was one of the most fulfilling in his professional career.
Mr. Ramakarthikeyan thanked the company’s management, board members, shareholders, clients, and employees for their support and trust.
He is very proud to have become a part of Hexaware’s successful transformation and its improvement in financial performance and business relationships.
Finally, Mr. Ramakarthikeyan promised to provide his assistance in the company’s management transition.
