Titan Company Limited is likely to remain in focus on Dalal Street after the Tata Group consumer major posted a strong set of numbers for the first quarter of FY27, extending the growth momentum seen through an exceptional FY26.
Q1FY27 Financial Highlights
Titan’s consolidated Total Income came in at approximately ₹20,753 crore, up 40% year-on-year, marking a robust start to the fiscal year. Profit Before Tax rose 64% to around ₹2,429 crore, translating into a margin of 11.7%. Adjusted for the impact of the customs duty hike on gold during the quarter, PBT growth stood at a still-healthy 37% compared with Q1FY26.
Segment-wise, the Jewellery portfolio — excluding bullion and digital gold sales — grew 43% to roughly ₹18,253 crore, powered by festive and Akshaya Tritiya demand, along with continued strength in the company’s gold exchange programmes. The Watches division grew 21% to about ₹1,543 crore, aided by premiumization trends and sustained consumer preference for analog timepieces. EyeCare rounded out the quarter with 21% growth to nearly ₹289 crore, driven by demand across the portfolio and a shift toward premium offerings.
Business and Brand Developments
During the quarter, Titan showcased its high-horology ambitions at the Watches & Wonders exhibition in Geneva, unveiling the diamond-set Nebula Genesis “Starburst” and Zero Hour, its first professional diver’s watch built on an in-house calibre. Two Titan timepieces — the Edge Ultraslim Mechanical and the Wandering Meteor — were entered as the division’s official submissions to the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), a notable step for Indian watchmaking on the world stage. Meanwhile, Tanishq expanded its design portfolio with the launch of “Hues,” a collection featuring natural coloured gemstones — emeralds, amethysts and tanzanites — set in 18kt gold.
During the quarter, the Division added 33 stores (net) in India, comprising of 4 Tanishq stores, 17 Mia stores, 1 beYon store and 11 Caratlane stores. The Tanishq business saw 2 new store openings in the GCC region during the quarter. Damas closed 1 (net) store in the quarter.
Stock Performance
Titan shares have had a strong run into the results. The stock touched a fresh all-time high of ₹5,005.00 on the BSE on August 6, 2026, gaining around 26% from its June lows, ahead of the results announcement. However, on results day itself — August 7, 2026 — the stock closed about 1.14% lower, as investors weighed near-term margin pressure from elevated gold prices and the customs duty impact against the otherwise strong operational show.
With jewellery continuing to be the primary growth engine, an expanding international footprint, and a premiumization push across watches and eyewear, Titan remains a stock market participants will be watching closely in the sessions ahead — particularly for cues on gold-price trends and their pass-through impact on margins in Q1FY27.
