Adani Power Limited moved to diversify its energy portfolio with the incorporation of step-down wholly owned subsidiary Rawatbhata-Raj Atomic Energy Ltd (RRAEL) through Adani Atomic Energy Ltd (AAEL), marking its entry into the nuclear energy segment. The stock remained in focus following the development, as the move signals a long-term push into base-load and low-carbon power generation.
RRAEL has been incorporated with an authorized capital of ₹5 lakh, divided into 50,000 equity shares of ₹10 each, with the investment made through cash consideration. The company will be fully owned, with 100% shareholding held by AAEL, which in turn is wholly owned by Adani Power. The entity will focus on generation, transmission, and distribution of nuclear power, aligning with India’s clean energy transition roadmap while allowing the company to build presence in the nuclear value chain with minimal initial capital deployment.
