Wipro Ltd., has agreed to acquire some customer contracts belonging to Alpha Net Consulting LLC and its affiliates. The maximum cost of such a contract acquisition will be up to $70.8 million in cash. As the name of this agreement implies, Wipro aims at expanding its portfolio of AI consulting and application services through this deal.
Acquisition of these contracts will make it possible for Wipro to become owner of key customers, agreements with such customers and even part of the staff from Alpha Net. Furthermore, the terms of the agreement stipulate that there would be additional payments depending on further performance of the acquired business. It is expected that the acquisition of these contracts would be completed by June 30, 2026.
The origin of Alpha Net Consulting dates back to 2001, and today it has its headquarters located in Santa Clara, California. Operations of the company take place in five countries, including the US, Singapore, India, the UK and the Netherlands. The aforementioned contracts generated revenues of $37.3 million in 2025, thus showing an improvement compared to $34.4 million in 2024 and $27.9 million in 2023.
This purchase is among other strategies adopted by Wipro in an attempt to develop their AI-enabled solutions and consulting services. Through the acquisition, Wipro will have access to both new clients and highly experienced personnel of Alpha Net to add value to their service portfolio.
To summarize, it can be stated that Wipro has invested heavily to get access to high-value clients and projects offered by Alpha Net. The transaction is planned to close during mid-2026 and will assist Wipro in developing their AI solutions business globally.
