Public sector defence major, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) was trading 0.87% up at Rs 4,195.10 (at 10.20 AM) in NSE on Friday as the company reported strong Q3FY26 results.
On Thursday, the company also announced that the defence ministry has awarded it a Rs 2,312 crore contract for production of eight Dornier 228 Aircraft for the Indian Coast Guard.
Last week, the state-run firm said that five Tejas light combat aircraft are set for delivery to the Indian Air Force. In February 2021, the Ministry of Defence had finalised a ₹48,000 crore deal with the aerospace major for the procurement of 83 Tejas Mk-1A jets for the IAF.
Investors are viewing these developments as positive for the defence major.
